Taeje Bôkkesrace 2017

Last Friday I was invited as a guest aboard a ‘botter’, a classic sailboat that took part in the ‘Taeje Bôkkesrace’ sailing competition. This particular vessel was sponsored by the Municipality of Huizen. I had a whale of a time! As a thank-you, we produced a souvenir in the shape of a personalised mast bead at the end of a hemp rope accompanied by a laser-cut herring. Our gift was much appreciated ☺ Janny Bakker, many thanks for inviting us! As an after-thought: the HZ 108 performs even better with a lot of wind in her sails. As it happened, we came fifth 🙂
